The group
Built around the asset, not the appointment.
Transact is an integrated capital, property and risk group. Three divisions, one relationship, coordinated across the entire life of a commercial asset.
The group grew out of Transact Capital, a commercial property firm with offices in Perth and Brisbane and a practice spanning sales, leasing, asset management and buyer representation. Its clients kept asking the same two questions after every transaction: who should fund this, and who should insure it. Transact Finance and Transact Insurance are the group's answer. A commercial debt and equity advisory and a commercial insurance broking practice now sit beside the property business, under the same roof and the same standard of service.
The divisions share one organising idea. A commercial asset moves through a continuous loop: acquired, funded, protected, managed and, in due course, realised. Most of those stages recur. Each refinance reopens the funding question; each renewal, the cover. A group organised around the loop carries context from one stage to the next instead of starting again at every handoff.
The group is founded and led by Alex Gismondi as Chief Executive Officer, with each division run by its own senior specialists: agency and management within Transact Capital, debt advisory within Transact Finance, and broking within Transact Insurance under Tom Bucat.

From the founder
“I built Transact around a simple observation: the owners I acted for were assembling their advisers one appointment at a time, and nobody saw the whole asset. I have owned, developed and delivered projects myself, so I wanted a firm that advises the way an owner thinks. Bringing property, capital and risk into one group was never about being bigger. It was about advice that joins up, from people with an owner's stake in the outcome.”
Alex founded the group in 2016 and has led it from a boutique Perth agency into a national platform spanning commercial real estate, debt and equity advisory and insurance broking, advising on more than $3 billion in strategic asset portfolios along the way.
Behind the advice sits a personal track record as an owner and developer: commercial projects in excess of $200 million delivered across retail, hotels, student accommodation, large format retail, industrial, office and residential subdivisions. It is the difference between advice from the sidelines and advice from someone who has carried the risk himself. He remains a principal in the transactions the group leads, and a trusted adviser to family offices nationally.
How the group works
Senior people, directly.
Every division keeps the service deliberately senior. The person on the file is the person on the phone.
Plain advice.
We tell clients where we can add value and where we cannot, before the engagement rather than after it.
Context carried forward.
The agent, the financier and the broker work from the same picture of the asset. Nothing is re-explained twice.
