Commercial Debt & Equity Advisory

The capital behind the deal.

Debt and equity advisory for commercial property and business. Senior bank facilities, private credit, syndicated and club structures, and private capital, arranged around the transaction rather than the template.

The firm

When the number matters and the structure matters more.

Transact Finance is a commercial debt and equity advisory firm. We arrange and structure funding for property and business: acquisitions, developments, refinances, and the growth or restructuring that rarely fits a standard credit template. Clients engage us when the quantum is material and the structure will determine whether the strategy holds.

Our background is in banking, on the side of the desk that approves and prices transactions. We know how to present a transaction so that it clears on the terms a client actually wants rather than the terms a lender defaults to when a submission is thin, how a credit committee reads a proposal, and which lenders hold genuine appetite for which risks.

How we work

The whole capital position, not the facility in front of us.

A well-structured transaction considers what comes next: the refinance three years out, the covenant that could bite in a soft quarter, the equity that may prove cheaper than a further tranche of debt. We map the options, model them honestly, and go to market with a proposal that is ready to be approved.

Within the group, Finance is the funding engine. Capital identifies and transacts the asset; Finance capitalises it. Because most assets are refinanced and repositioned across a hold, our involvement tends to recur.

What we do

Structured to the strategy, not the template.

Corporate Growth Capital

Funding structured for expansion and liquidity: acquisition finance, working capital, and facilities that give a business room to grow without over-committing the balance sheet. We assess the full capital position and structure to it.

Structured & Institutional Finance

For funds, syndicates and substantial private groups, we design facilities that improve portfolio performance and capital efficiency across the stack: senior, stretch senior, mezzanine and equity, matched to the asset and the hold strategy. The right structure is frequently the difference between a transaction that performs and one that merely settles.

Explore

Syndicated & Club Facilities

Where a single balance sheet will not carry the transaction, we arrange syndicated and club structures across multiple lenders, aligning pricing, security and intercreditor terms into one coherent facility. The firm has arranged single facilities in excess of $100 million.

Explore

Risk-Adjusted Financing

Every facility trades cost against flexibility against risk. We structure funding to the point on that spectrum where the client actually sits, weighing pricing certainty against covenant headroom and near-term cost against long-term optionality, so the finance serves the strategy rather than quietly constraining it.

Our lender relationships

Banks, private credit and private capital.

Australian banks

Active relationships across the major and second-tier banks allow us to place senior facilities competitively and to move quickly when a transaction cannot wait in a queue.

Private credit and non-bank lenders

Where bank appetite ends, our network of local and offshore private lenders provides flexibility on structure, timing and security. This market suits growth, transition, and the more complex situations that sit outside standard credit parameters.

Private capital

For equity and mezzanine positions, we introduce family offices and private investors who understand property and business risk, complementing senior facilities where the capital stack requires more than debt alone.

Who we act for

From single assets to portfolios.

Property developers and investors, funds and syndicates, and established businesses, from single-asset acquisitions to multi-facility portfolios.

Part of the group

Specialists who can see the asset.

Finance rarely works in isolation here. The asset being funded is often one Transact Capital is transacting or managing, and one Transact Insurance will cover. Clients deal with funding specialists who can see the asset and the risk around it, not only the loan.
